12AX7 is the result of decades of musical collaboration between brothers Christopher and Matthew White. After humble beginnings in the 90s writing and recording instrumentals on a TASCAM Porta Two, they have spent years honing their skills in original and cover bands. Now Matthew and Christopher as 12AX7 are joining forces again to produce new unique instrumental music with everything they’ve learned and developed. The result might be called “progressive surf rock” — it draws from an eclectic mix of artists such as Link Wray, Van Halen, Rush, Dick Dale, The Ventures, and many others. The interaction between Matthew’s scorching guitar antics and Christopher’s rhythmic drive produces a sound that is both dripping with high energy rock-and-roll feel and strangely complex.
